After analysis and calculation about kinetic energy it is to determine the installed capacity of the HPP as 15 MW. The Maximum head and the minimum head of the HPP will be 67m and 60m respectively, the head will not change significantly and the rated head will be 67m and the model of turbine applicable to such head section is Francis turbine. Through model selection calculation and comprehensive comparison it is to recommend HLA551YY and HLD85 turbine.
The installed capacity of this HPP will be 15MW but the firm energy will only be 1.05MW. since the firm energy is small the layout of the powerhouse area is relatively relaxed through joint studies and comprehensive comparisons of relevant disciplines, it is proposed to select the scheme for 4 horizontal units of 2x5000+2x2500kW.
