I am selling this scooter on behalf of my parents who have owned it since new. They purchased it in London in early 1959, rode it around Europe/UK, before bringing it with them when they returned to Australia in 1962, where it was registered and ridden for a few years The scooter hasn't been ridden or registered since the mid-60's and was last started about 35 years ago. It has been stored on bricks in a dry place with the fuel tank drained The motor still kicks over easily and the throttle works freely. Needs new cables for the clutch/ gears. The tyres have been pumped up and are holding air scooter It has a 125cc 2-stroke motor, with a three speed manual gearbox The operation and maintenance manual that came with the scooter when it was purchased states that it is a 152 L2 Model. The pictures/descriptions in the manual matches up with a visual inspection of the scooter The manual is for a Douglas Vespa, however I'm not 100% sure on that. It may have been assembled by Douglas in the UK or imported to the UK by Douglas to meet demand. You will need to make your own minds up about that It has 40,859.8 miles on the clock Engine number is VNA2M *0103382* Despite the advice received, I have been able to locate the chassis number yet. There is some slight surface rust, but as the photo's show, nothing dramatic A great project - a one owner totally unmolested complete scooter. Consider a full restoration or keep it as a survivor and just do the mechanicals Comes with a spare tire, operation and maintenance manual The scooter is advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to cancel this without notice. The pictures form part of the description Happy to take any sensible questions via email Like always you are bidding to buy, not to look. Payment is cash on pickup or bank deposit within 7 days of the your offer being accepted
