Dear Umeki-san, Panat-san、Parnicha-san, STT member
I am deeply sorry that the explanation was not enough. Let me explain this
shortage of GW again.
1. Scratch on R1 side drastically increased at the start of mass production. This
scratch could not be removed by polishing.
2. We told our situation to STT and Shinagawa that we would not be able to
meet your demand for low appearance yield caused by this R1 scratch NG.
3. AMGT visited STT for leveling to judge whether this R1 scratch was
acceptable or not on March 2.
4. Shinagawa visited AMGC(Japan) and had a meeting to confirm our situation
and what happened at press process on March 2.
5. As a result of this leveling and meeting, our shortage became clear
unfortunately.
6. The critical factors of this shortage were that the design change of pre-form
for reducing R1 scratch was not effective enough and the machine of mold
maintenance was broken on February 25. It caused our press process stopping
and restarting.
7. Shinagawa and we had some meeting to decide the countermeasure for this
shortage from March 3 to March 6.
8. Shinagawa showed us the minimum shipping plan on March 6 and we
committed it on March 9.
9. This plan is only "minimum". We will revise this shipping plan at every Monday
to increase the quantity reflecting the improvement result of last week. Next
revise date is March 16.
10. The most important countermeasure is thickness increasing of pre-form. It
enables us to polish deeper than now. The remove of R1 scratch is expected.
11. We will report the actual result at 13 pm every day.
Please be patient for a while. We will catch up with your demand as soon as
possible by the improvement of our process.
