Wrede et al. found that there were more stillbirths and
neonatal deaths in the HR than the control group, and
these offspring were not included in the current study.6
The control offspring had diagnosed asphyxia more
often than the HR offspring, which seems to be at odds with previous studies.18 However, diagnosed asphyxia was
rare both in HR and control offspring, and the prevalence
observed in the control group, 4.8%, is quite similar to that
observed in a large Finnish general population sample
from the 1980s.19 In contrast, the previous study by Dalman
et al. defined asphyxia based on an Apgar score below 7.18
Overall, the median Apgar score was slightly lower in the
HR than the control offspring, which fits with previous
