You should exercise vigilance when in public places and avoid large crowds or crowded places as much as possible. Monitor local media closely for any changes in civil issues, severe weather, unrest, etc.
� Be prepared to change your meeting or travel plans immediately in case of safety or security concerns in the region, which may include staying at the hotel, heading to the airport until the next available flight home or, if possible, heading to the closest MDT office.
� Do not use public transportation: in low risk areas you can use airport taxi and car rental services or arrange a prearranged pick up from the airport by the local office or through your hotel. Ask the local office to arrange your transport while in country by a reputable car/taxi service they know and have experience with, or if this is not possible through your hotel.

� See something? Say Something! Report any anomalies or concerns to local authorities immediately.
� Always follow the instructions of local authorities but if necessary engage local MDT personnel to help with any language, custom or regional law issues.
� Be prepared for additional security screening and unexpected disruptions causing possible delays in travel.
� Stay in touch with your family members and ensure they know how to reach you in the event of an emergency, ensure your contact information and emergency contacts in Workday/Peoplesoft are correct.
� If you should be in a country where an incident occurs, as a traveler or a resident, please contact your manager to indicate that you are OK. This will simplify the process of accounting for our staff and travelers. Please also contact your local MDT colleague to indicate you are OK or request guidance / assistance.
� If your country has a Traveler Registration Program, please register all your travel as this provides travelers with additional support and tracking from their home country’s government in case of travel emergencies.
