Terms of Reference for Service Agreement, RCH Referral Driving

The driver in this agreement is expected to perform or adhere to the following:
1. Provide driving services on a service agreement basis. This is not a regular driver position.
2. Work up to 48 hours per week to provide driving services in the Umphang-Nu Po area.
3. Drive to Nu Po on an as-needed basis to transport RCH patients to and from Nu Po to Umphang for treatment of obstetric complications or follow-up. Drive as needed on standby for emergency referral of RCH patients between 10:00-15:00 Monday-Friday in camp. However, you will normally have 1-2 hours of unpaid lunch break in camp.
4. Driving duty up to 5-6 days per week (Monday-Saturday), and 8 hours per day. If you work 48 hours (6 days) in a week, you may use a compensation day for 8 hours on another date during the same month.
5. Driving duty for RCH patients between the Umphang patient house and Umphang Hospital.
6. Driving duty does not include duties of the regular drivers, such as on-call, driving staff to Mae Sot, or driving vehicles to shops to perform maintenance.
7. Receive instructions for driving duties and schedule from the RCH coordinators.
8. The Umphang Administration-Logistics Officer will set your schedule.
9. You will be supervised by the Logistics Assistant.
10. You must follow all ARC policies except as indicated in the service agreement.
11. You may stay in an ARC staff house in Umphang if you do not have a personal house in Umphang.
12. You must maintain a timesheet to receive payment.
13. Payment for services will be processed by Bangkok Finance. You must complete a timesheet each month, which is verified by field staff, then submitted to Bangkok Finance at the end of each month. The payment for services will transferred to a bank account held by you.
14. Expected work time: up to 8 hours per day, 5-6 days per week.
15. Payment is only for days worked (8 hours or 4 hours per day are the only options).
16. Payment amount for an 8-hour day is as stated in the agreement.
17. No holidays, annual leave, or sick leave are paid.
18. You should be registered under the ARC vehicle insurance policy for liability, collision, and comprehensive coverage.
19. No health insurance benefits are paid by ARC. You should provide proof of having personal or government health insurance before being contracted to provide driving services.
20. You must possess a valid driver's license and have at least one year of driving experience to be eligible to provide this service.
