At the initial 7 DPA, there was no difference between
two cultivars, whereas during mid and late filling periods, the AGPase activity in the grains of BY535 was
significantly higher than in JM20 (P = 0.05), indicat
ing that the cultivar with a high starch content had the
better capacity to supply ADPG than the low starch
content cultivar during midlate grain filling.
