results indicated that the cells depicted active and specific
biological processes during meiosis initiation of mouse
spermatogenesis. Further we investigated their relationship
to RA via Pathway Studio. As shown in Fig. 2B, six proteins
(Stra8, Afp, Pdcd4, Camk1, Tfrc, and Tubb3) were reported to
be related to RA signaling. To determine whether these genes
have any RA response elements (RAREs), the 2-kb region
before the transcriptional start site for each gene was
analyzed for a consensus RARE (AGGTCAXXXXXAGGTCA).
The results showed that Stra8 and Tfrc (Fig. 2C) had RARE, and
might be RA responsive.
