We are excited to bring our Child Kitchen classes to Malaysia. As a parent of a young child, I know that the lessons kids learn in the kitchen can benefit them, both at home and in the classroom. Cooking teaches kids about eating well and being open to new tastes. When kids cook their own dishes, they are more willing to sample them at the table. When following recipe directions, cleaning up after cooking and using kitchen equipment safely, kids develop confidence and learn about responsibility. Language, maths and science skills are acquired when they plan menus and read recipes; measure out and mix ingredients; as well as understand and apply different methods to make a meal. Cooking cultivates communication, curiosity and creativity.
