RigorIn enhancing the trustworthiness of the findings, a number of means of credibility were established. Credibility is a term that refers to establishment of truth inherent in the data (Streubert & Carpenter, 2011). In this study, the credibility is established by the first researcher, who is a nurse with experience in caring for women with gynecological cancer and is a member of an Indonesian cancer foundation. For these reasons, the researchers were able to build trust with participants in discussing the intimate details of their experiences. Furthermore, to enhance data credibility, confirmation and member-checking of the themes were established with the participants. The participants are considered as the experts in accurately describing and interpreting their data (Leech & Onwuegbuzie, 2007). They were asked to verify the accuracy of the findings. In addition, the researcher also enhanced the trustworthiness of the findings by establishing confirmability of the data by an audit trail with their supervisor using the thematic analysis on the same data set independently.
