TripAdvisor has been successful with its strategies, especially on its click based advertising, which relies heavily on user reviews, supplying fresh, authentic content that is always readily available and at no cost to the company. Allowing TripAdvisor to grow profitabily with its main strategy, it allowed TripAdvisor to expand with more ease to venture into other areas of the travel industry.
However, with other firms pursuing TripAdvisor’s business model in hope to grab a slice of the profit rich margins, TripAdvisor has to stay relevant with the evolving tourism industry, to maintain a balance to provide authentic reviews while fixing the already strained relations with the hospitality industry.
