Looking from the outside Stamford International University seems a great well run educational organisation, that is until you become a student there and the harsh reality of what Stamford Is actually all about.
The level of teaching is nowhere near the standard that should be expected from a University, work handouts are usually copied from other universities, showing a clear lack of dedication from teachers to produce worksheets, and make classes flow.
Both Teachers and Advisors have no respect to their students, if there are concerns you should be able to go speak to your advisor confidently - the outcome is always the same, if there is an issue the only advice ever given is to withdraw from the subject. What is furthermore shocking is overhearing an advisor telling a student to quit their job instead of withdrawing from a subject as they had taken on too much. These people should not be called Advisors, but instead Intimidators.
Even when you are not struggling it seems as though they look for anyway possible to fail you - it's almost as though they don’t want you to graduate.
To make a student withdraw from a class in which they are doing extremely well in after 8 weeks, due to missing a couple of lessons due to illness and an important appointment is beyond shocking. All that hard work and effort being thrown away, because quite simply the organization can, is beyond a joke.
Do Stamford International University really care about there students, or is its main interest being a business? - getting as much money as they can from students. Students who are made to withdraw still need to complete that module, which means having to pay to study that unit once again in the next term.
It is understandable if there is no dedication from a student and grades are failing to pull them up, but to do it to a student that is doing well simply does not add up.
Who’s failing who here? It seems that the University are failing its students - poor teaching, support almost none existent and ridiculous regulations.
And what for? …………...Money?
Btw, im an IHM student here. Stamford do something about it.
