The ability to synthesize pectinases is wide spread among allmicrobial groups but filamentous fungi (Aspergillus niger, Tricho-derma harzianum, Rhizopus sp.) are preferred because as much as90% of the enzyme can be produced into culture medium [11]. Theonly limiting factor for fungi is the slow growth compared to bacte-ria which are fast growing microorganism. Thus, the new isolates that can produce higher pectinase production are badly needed forcommercial purposes
