When zoo visitors and online voters went to the polls last December to vote for the best-looking male monkey at Japan's Takasakiyama Natural Zoological Garden, a handsome 16-year-old named Six took home the prize. The zoo's annual male monkey beauty pageant drew 4,747 voters, who selected Six from a choice of 15 monkeys, The Wall Street Journal reported. Six, garnering 1,467 of those votes, is said to be an easygoing monkey who is popular with others in his group.Sadly, though, Six, for all of his newfound validation, does not seem to be very much in-demand with the ladies (who -- fair is fair -- get their own yearly beauty pageant). The zoo houses more than 1,500 Japanese macaques, the Journal notes.
