Bhutan will continue to make large investments in hydropower projects. Tourism growth will pick up in 2016. Consequently, GDP growth will accelerate to an average of 6.8% a year in 2015-16. Large imports, related to the construction of hydropower projects, will see the current-account deficit widen to the equivalent of 25.9% of GDP on average in 2015-16.
