B. Personal Philosophies of Mathematics 
We can relate the perry theory to positions in the philosophy of mathematics. These are public philosophies of mathematics, explicitly stated and exposed to public debate. Here we consider personal philosophies of mathematics, which are private and implicit theories, unless thought through, stated explicitly and made public. The distinction is that between objective and subjective knowledge,made amongst others by polanyi(1958),who argues for the importance of the role of commitment to personal knowledge, offering support for the form, if not the detail, of the perry theory
