ey, guys,
Just put together a new system last night, it was working just fine. Left it on downloading some stuff, went to be and woke up to the error message "boot guard verified DXE that is failed". I need to press any key to shut down the system. That happens every time I boot.
Tried resetting the CMOS and it goes to a screen saying that the settings have been returned to default, hit F1 to go into setup, F2 to continue. F1 brings me back to the DXE screen.
I unplugged everything but cpu, ram, keyboard and video, still the same problem (was thinking it was maybe a failing hard drive).
From here I have no idea what to do. Google turned up nothing for that error message other than it has to do with Intel's Device Protection. But I haven't tampered with anything or set anything up.
Don't remember my BIOS version, but the date was 6/27/14. Can't get back into anything.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.
