2. Questionnaire DesignThe teacher questions read: T1 How often do you bring your laptop to School? T2 How often do you bring your laptop to your Year 10 Science class? T3a How often do you use your laptop in this Science class? T3b How often do you require your students to use their laptop in this Science class? T4 How often do you require your students to use their laptop for Science homework? T5 How often do you require your students to use their laptop in Science assessments?The student questions read: S1 How often do you bring your laptop to School? S2 How often do you bring your laptop to this Science class? S3 How often do you use your laptop in this Science class? S4 How often do you use your laptop during Science homework? S5 How often do you use your laptop during Science assessments?Both teacher and student respondents had to answer using a 5-point Likert scale: 1=never to 5=always. The survey items were almost identical for purpose of comparison i.e. T1S1; T2S2; T4S4 and T5S5. Since a fundamental focus of this study was to compare the requirements of teachers on student use with the reported use by the students themselves, T3b (rather than T3a) was compared with S3.
