human rights law is definitely not the biggest success story of humankind and the debate over the universality of human rights is still opening (south-initiative human rights concept and practice etc.) but, if you believe me, the development of human rights law in these almost 70 years prevents our junta government from committing mass human rights violations, unlike what Marcos did to Filipinos in 1970's.
If you're an activist on the ground, if you're utilising human rights as your weapon to fight against real weapons of oppressive regime, you know what I mean.
