Over six weeks of feeding, the various dietary carotenoid supplementssignificantly (p ≤ 0.05) increased TC compared to the control diet (Table 4).Initial TC level in the serum of fish was 0.83 ± 0.18 μg/ml. This value rose significantly at the end of the experiment to 6.20-9.31 μg/ml in fish fed diets containing carotenoid. TC of the control group was 0.86-1.11 μg/ml over the same period. Serum TC concentrations of fish fed on carotenoid diets were similar, but the group of fish fed with raw material of tea leaves had a slightly higher serum total carotenoid content than the other groups. Serum total carotenoid was 9.31 ± 1.50 μg/ml.
