Studies on upper gastrointestinal bleeding associated with NSAIDs have shown wide differences in the risk associated with each particular drug.[1-8] Inrecent years, new NSAIDs such as aceclofenac,dexketoprofen, nimesulide, meloxicam and, more recently celecoxib and rofecoxib, have been introduced in therapeutics. Data on the risk of upper gastrointestinal bleeding associated with their use are scarce or lacking.
