The host of BBC2's Autumnwatch, who controversially called for giant pandas to be allowed to die out, says he is appalled by how the show's bosses and celebrities abuse animals in the Aussie outback.
The 48-year-old, who shot to fame on the BAFTA-winning BBC1 children's programme The Really Wild Show, says it is wrong that creatures are killed for entertainment purposes.
