Our study has several practical implications. Given that organizations nowadays are facing a complex and dynamic environment, it is inevitable that knowledge workers need to perform multiple tasks which may exhibit different characteristics in terms of the different nature of the knowledge processing challenges. However, it is not clear what kind of KMS these knowledge workers should use.Obviously, one system will not be sufficient. Rather, depending on the characteristics of the tasks, knowledge workers will more effective if they use a system that induces the behavior that matches the procedures required for the tasks.
