In the 1940s, Bush proposed the notion of
hypertext without ever using the word! until 1965 that T.H. nelson coined the word hypertext , as he envisioned all of the world’s literature in one publicly accessible global online system : “everything” written about the subject, or vaguely relevant to it, tied together by editors (and NOT by “programmer,” dammit), in which you may read in all the directions you wish to pursue.
