All the described methods werecompared using different criteria: standard,simple to use, requiring zero additional cost andresource, respecting quota requirements, lesstime-consuming exercise, total cost ofproducing the schedule, fulfillment ofpreferences, priority admitted to seniority,equity in terms of balance of the non-desiredassignments, and ergonomic rules that havepositive impact on their quality of life at work.All criteria in the quality field are rankedfrom the most to the least important oneaccording to our comprehension of the problemand interpretation from our interviews with theclerks. One has to recall that this ranking is nota formal one since clerks use very subjectivecriteria each time they consider one particularpreference and nurse.
