Later that year, the company introduced Applause, an employee recognition program that rewarded high performers. Applause not only recognized the top 15 percent of the company’s employees, but also served as a driver for refreshing Symantec’s corporate culture and reinforcing the company’s values of innovation, trust and customer-driven action.
