Peer-to-Peer File Sharing ApplicationsIBM prohibits the use of certain peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing programs.The IBM Standard Asset Manager (ISAM) application creates a software inventory file each time it runs a scan on your workstation. When WST runs, it reads from that software inventory file to see if any unauthorized peer to peer file sharing programs were found.WST will report a green check-mark if no P2P file sharing applications are found.WST will report a red X if any P2P applications are found. WST will also list the name of the peer to peer file sharing application.If you have removed the peer-to-peer application, click on the link Re-run ISAM and all tests from the left menu. ISAM will run a scan and update the software inventory file now. WST will check to see if the P2P application was no longer found.You can also run ISAM later.1.Find the ISAM icon in the system tray in the lower corner of the Windows desktop.2.Right click and select Software Scan Only.3.ISAM will perform and scan and present a message when complete.4.Run WST again to read from the new software inventory file and verify the P2P application was no longer found.
