It is mandatory for employers to pay the employer’s and employee’s share of SI contributions for all Thai/ PR employees at the rates set out in the SI Act. The contributions payable will be based on the employee’s actual total wages earned in Thailand each month. To compensate overseas secondees for the lost of such SI income, TTTC will pay secondees an amount equivalent to the employer’s and employee’s share of the SI contributions at the prevailing rate. Secondees however, can voluntary make their own SI contributions from overseas.
