Teaching and learning approaches for inclusive learning environments can be facilitated by educational technology and ICT, fostering the process of inclusion in education (Florian, 2003; Ralph, 2006). Papers on this issue began to appear in 2001, with a total of 17 papers categorised in this group. ICT-assisted learning is becoming important in formal educational settings, in nonformal settings and in general support for life. Especially for students with disabilities, ICT provides accessibility and equal engagement and facilitates overcoming of potential isolation by connecting them to social environments and enabling their participation in education and wider society.
