In this work a simple square wave voltammetric method is
reported, allowing the rapid trypsin activity determination in the
normal and acute pancreatitis range. It takes advantage of the low
cost and disposability of the screen printed electrodes, designed
to work with microliter volumes of samples, and suitable for mass
production and point-of-care testing. Thus, it was demonstrated
that electrochemical methods and devices have the potential to
improve routine methods in clinical analysis.
