The customer use about 85% of disk capacity. We recommend the cunstomer to prepare USB HDD to backup DATA.
This LS model is a single disk has no data redundancy.
1) how to run correctly this standard "check disk" feature of the Buffalo LinkStation LS-CHL ?!
Our recommendation.
1)Backing up your data before you perform disk check.
2)Then preform check disk.
3) Wait to finish for checking disk.
Reason and NOTE:
Checking disk that takes about a few minutes to several tens of hours(sevral days) to finish.
(It depends on the HDD condition.)
While the NAS is checking the disk, you cannot access any data.(Please execute checking disk that with time to spare.)
Do NOT turn off the power when the NAS is checking disk.
Force power off, its cause of breakage data.
2) how long can it take to finish successfully (1560GB in use of 1847GB => 84.4%) ?!
We have no data exactly mean time to finish it. Checking disk that takes about a few minutes to several
tens of hours(several days) to finish.
(It depends on the HDD condition.)
3) I use this LinkStation for my "TimeMachine" backup for my (Apple computers), I saw that the "creating >date" of the backup files have been changed from the original date (long ago) to the new date when running >the "check disk" program (14Sep, date of stopping the program) ... how come that ?!
3)Would you send the screenshot that we can see the created date and modified date of the file or folder?
And, tell us the customer access to NAS with AFP or SMB access.
Regards,
