The licensed and branded and apparel industry continues to generate significant revenues. Teams and leagues earn a certain percentage of sales, called royalties, on items bearing their logos. Leagues and players associations administer licensing programs on the professional level. colleges may administer their own licensing programs or may enlist the services of organizations such as the CLC. People are needed to work in many areas in both the sporting goods and licensed products industries. These areas cut across many other segments of the sport industry, including professional sport, intercollegiate athletics, recreational sport, and the health and fitness industry.
