However,convincing Asian parents to relax when it comes to their child's education is far easier said than done.Sadly,the result of this misguided rush to send young children to English institutes and preschools often only results in wasted time and money.Says Korean language scholar Kyung Soon Boo,"Parents ask me how they can improve their children's English.I tell them to just expose the children to English songs and videos to help them become accustomed to the rhythm and intonation of English,but not to make them learn grammar or memorize words.But the problem is that parents want to see concrete improvements in grammar,vocabulary,speaking,and writing as soon as possible."Perhaps it is the parents who are more in need of learning something about language education that the children.
