Loki is a quiet character, always watching, saying little. Even as a child, while Thor excitedly talked about how he would destroy the Frost Giants, Loki simply looked on. Perhaps because he is always silenced and unacknowledged. Several times in Thor, he is cut off while he is speaking by his brother or Odin. Odin doesn’t even let him speak when he tries to protest Thor’s banishment. When talking to Thor’s friends about Thor’s banishment, Sif completely disregards his statement on Thor’s recklessness. He recognizes that Thor doesn’t think things through and acts on anger and revenge rather than forethought, but no one listens to him.
