Not good for the animals and dangerous to the public, even their owners I always feel very sad whenever i see a dog in house. Would anyone of us like to be kept in a rabbit hole for life by a group of rabbits? Worse still, more violent actions towards human's are committed by dogs than human criminals. The dog "crime rate" is 1.5%, human violent crime rate is about .3%. That is, in our life time, each has a 50% chance to be bitten by a dog. Further, there's no defense against them; we are much slower than them, but acting too fast upon perceived threat, we can be sued by the owners for animal abuse. Both myself and one of my kids have been attacked, yet the owners lay blame on us. The owner of the dog who bit my daughter on her leg when she was quite young said her dog was a very good dog but startled by my daughter who was then simply walking on the side walk. Neither the dogs nor the owners were punished. It's a felony for one human to bite a piece off another person for no reason.
