The establishment of Effort
Effort is one main virtue in Buddhism, as in the Eight-fold Path; the sixth path or Right Effort that supports the other seven paths or any other way of self-training, because the fruit of one’s conduct is rightful being due to various natural causes. How ever, the performance of effort needs the proper beginning. One should not only pour all one’s strength into work, that, in a way, is self-torturing and brings negative results instead. He should accompany his effort with his other virtues, especially his own mindfullness and his wise consideration in proper proportion, or in other words of “the middle way”, that is, not too tight, not too loose.
