This limitation is also related to the issue of construct validity of overall
perception, which deserves more research. Future research on the issue can
be implemented in two ways. First, overall perception can be developed as
a unidimensional construct. In this case, the concept can be measured by
directly asking employees about their perceptions of HR practices in the
company as a whole. The second approach, by contrast, would regard it as
a multidimensional construct, and look at the dynamics of the subscales.
That is, the concept of overall perception can be developed to include a
comprehensive area of HR practices, and then the dynamics of the subdimensions
can be examined.
