By night fall, be mesmerized by the twinkling lights of Bangkok, the “City of Angels” and the spectacularly illuminated treasures of the Chao Phraya, viewed while dining in the air-conditioned state rooms on the lower decks – where royalty and dignitaries once dined. We promise entertainment befitting the event with performances and dances showcasing Thailand’s age-old exquisite traditions and music by the Royal Thai Navy’s “4 Orchestra Bunnies n Band”. To top up the traditional Thai cuisine buffet, we will also be serving the famous and utterly delicious Singapore Laksa and Fried Hokkien Mee coupled with free flow of ice-cold beer to tantalize your taste buds.
For those who want to brush up on their first-aid skills, a special first-aid demonstration will be put up by the medical staff from the Somdech Phra Pinklao Hospital, a major hospital under the Naval Medical Department of the Royal Thai Navy (see www.pinklao.go.th). The surplus of this charity event proceeds will be donated towards the purchase of new medical equipment for the hospital's Service Unit in Pediatrics. So, please give your generous support to the raffle draw and silent charity auction of special valued items that will be showcased on the boat. For those who want to further contribute by donating items of value for this charity auction and/or prizes for raffle draw kindly contact the STCC Office. After all, it is for the sake of a worthy charity cause.
For the finale, Krathong floating lanterns will be provided to all for release into the river – a beautiful Thai tradition dating back to the Sukhothai period.
This fun-filled and enjoyable evening promises fond memories of cherished new friendships, renewed acquaintances and camaraderie amongst members. You are cordially invited to join us on this cruise – a first for STCC and N.E.R.D. It will be our privilege and honor to welcome you on board!
