Based on the literature review (e.g., Donovan and Rossiter, 1982;
Sherman and Smith, 1987), we consider that the atmospheric cues
of the Spa, or rather the stimuli received by an individual in the
Spa environment will influence his/her emotional response. If the
atmospheric cues are adequate, the response will be relaxation and
pleasure (see Fig. 1). Thus, the following hypotheses are formulated:
