Various reforms in the corporate sector has necessitated consequent changes in the pattern of
governance in its industries. One of such changes is the bifurcation of executive duality, which implies
the power and centrality of the lead entrepreneur has been redefined in the light of corporate
entrepreneurial innovation. The objective of this paper was premise in this context, to know whether
executive duality significantly relates and impacts on corporate entrepreneurial innovation. Data were
collected from 215 financial statements of the corporations that made the sample for the period under
review. The one-sample t-test and the Hosmer and lemeshow test was used to test the hypothesis
formulated for the study. Findings revealed a significant relationship exists between executive duality
and corporate entrepreneurial innovation, as well as a significant impact. The study concludes,
bifurcation of executive duality is indifferent to the corporate entrepreneurial innovation process. In this
wise, sustaining legitimacy through innovations that translates into huge earnings should be pursued.
