This behaviour is totally because of the communist regime in China that has systematically destroyed real Chinese culture on the Mainland. If the Chinese people who lived in China before the communists took over saw the behaviour of the Mainland people today, they would be extremely shocked, totally shocked. They would not recognize such behaviour at all.
In Toronto, Canada, I have also been shoved right out of the line waiting for a streetcar a couple of times, pushed from behind right out of the line. Both times I turned around to see it was an old Chinese immigrant lady and both times they were just staring straight ahead with stone faces like nothing happened. I think they do know that most men in Canada would never raise their voice to an elderly person, so they can get away with this. I've seen other Canadian men pushed out of lines by elderly Chinese ladies as well. But again, this is absolutely *not* a Chinese thing. It is the effect that the communist regime has had on the culture in China. Real, traditional Chinese culture values respect, courtesy, manners and dignity, but most of this has now been eradicated in the Mainland due to the communist regime.
