The mean scores on the last 9 (33%) of the 27 items were above 2.5 but below 3.5. These are the critical areas on which educators need to focus. Specifically, the results in Table 2 indicate that small business managers and entrepreneurs require assistance in developing their working capital management skills (mean = 3.12), and they also must become aware of the various sources of financing available (mean = 3.42). Additionally, they should to learn how to sell to international customers and how to access international suppliers. Although many small business managers might not see these two issues as being important, the internationalization of the U.S. economy suggests that considering international issues is important.
