STCC together with the Naval Executive Relations Development (N.E.R.D.) Division of the Royal Thai Navy is pleased and excited to offer you the chance to participate in our latest charity networking experience…a once in a lifetime chance to cruise down the majestic Chao Phraya river on board the historical boat Angsana - once used by His Majesty the King to inspect royal projects along the river - on Loy Krathong Eve, 24 Nov 2015.
The event will start with a reception at 5 pm in the front side wing of the Navy Convention Hall and Pier. Mingle with other guests as you view our member sponsor’s booths showcasing their latest products and services. As a very special treat, a thrilling performance will be put up by the members of the Royal Thai Navy Fancy Drill contingent which ranks amongst the top of the world’s best drill contingents. They have performed for royalties, dignitaries and senior government office holders in the past…and this time, especially for you!
Departing at about 6 pm just before dusk, soak in the splendor of the sun setting over the many historical monuments and buildings dotting the Chao Phraya River while networking on the open-air top deck of the Angsana boat. Over pre-dinner cocktails, get the chance to chat with senior officials from various Thai government ministries and the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore. Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has been invited whilst the Chief of the Royal Thai Navy has already confirmed his attendance. Our route would take us to view the Chao Phraya’s many landmarks that would be looking their best for the Loy Krathong celebrations… so don’t forget to whip out your cameras for the perfect photo from the royal boat.
