The last time we did these Elastomeric Expansion Joints I believe was in or around 27/04/2010. The current spec that Chevron is asking for now is outside the operating pressures and temperatures of an elastomeric expansion joint. This joint is the same configuration exactly as previous supply only the pressure requirement is twice what was asked for in earlier specs.
We can quote you the E/J as shown in Materpac-A4369 and I have sent you a copy of the previous joint supplied shown in 2010-04-27 Masterpac Drawing.jpg and we should ask the question if these are one and the same job, if so could they please re-check the working parameters?
Should Chevrons requirements be 20bar pressure rating then we would have to look at re-designing the expansion joint in a metallic form to withstand the pressure and temperature they are asking for.
You will notice that we have increased the design pressures to operating 16bar from 10bar previously.
Being translated, please wait..
