BODY LANGUAGE: what you see and hear is what you get
Words, tone, actions, or: How sincere are you?
People believe the message they get from facial expressions, general body language and the tone of our voice before they believe our words. Your words are useless unless your actions and voice are sending the same message. Even on the telephone, our tone of voice is affected by our body language.
● Your posture: are you slouching, leaning against something, or sitting down when you shouldn’t be?
● Smoking is prohibited while on the tram whether moving or stationary for both customers and employees. Employees are not to smoke within 20 feet of the tram at any time. ( Especially when parked at 16th or Cresse)
● Your actions: are you eating, chewing gum, or having personal conversations with colleagues in front of your customers? Are you careful about what you are saying even when you think you are “on hold” on the telephone or a customer is “on hold??’ Do you follow-up as you promise?
