3. Support from members of society: some participantsexplained that they received support from members ofsociety. For example, communicating with other patientsand discovering that they were not alone in their experienceencouraged them and validated their desperation and thedifficulties they experienced. Further, they perceived thattheir superiors forgave them, and this helped them phaseback into where their colleagues encouraged them and gavethem positive reinforcement.
