Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a chronic and debilitating disorder
that is associated with numerous deleterious outcomes (e.g., [25,
36]). PTSD is prevalent in the general population, with an even greater
prevalence in the active duty and veteran population. Specifically, the
prevalence of PTSD in service men and women deployed post 9/11 is
estimated to be at least 10% immediately post-deployment, with an approximate
doubling of the prevalence within five years after deployment
