• Adequate potable water and/or boiled water must be supplied to the dormitory. The quality of the water must be monitored and tested – obtain approval from local authority or qualified independent laboratory. • Mark emergency escape routes and exits in the dormitory area. Factory must make evacuation maps (floor maps) for each block in the dormitory and display the maps prominently. • Install sufficient smoke detectors, fire alarms and fire extinguishers in the dormitory and have them tested and examined regularly.
