TYPES OF POLLUTION
INTRODUCTION: Pollution is contamination of our surrounding. Pollution directly or indirectly harms human beings and other organisms. Pollution is often described as “unfavourable alteration” of the surrounding.When we use something from our environment, we often find only some part of it useful. We throw away the rest. What we throw away is called waste material. IF this man-made waste accumulates in a place, it causes changes in the environment which are harmful for living things. This is known as pollution. Pollution causes contamination of air, water and soil. They lose some of their quality. Contaminated air, water and soil are harmful to the health of all living things including human beings. They cause many diseases. It endangers the existence of all living things and causes damage to bio-diversity. It disturbs the balance in nature. Pollution and the imbalance in nature have become important problems that man is now facing on a global level.
