Leadership is often described as the ability to enlist, mobilize, and motivate others to
apply their abilities and resources to a given cause. This capacity is fundamental
to discussions of charismatic or transformational leadership in general and in the
educational sphere in particular. It illuminates the ways in which individuals influence
others and persuade them to devote their utmost efforts to tasks that promote their goals.
Nonetheless, few studies have directly examined the relationship between various styles
of leadership and different types of motivation among followers
